Tilda on an outing!

Hi Peeps!!

So up in the North Hemisphere spring has "sprung".  Here in the Southern Hemisphere, everything is going to sleep, and the chill has already crept in!  Today was truly a miserable day.  The wind was icy and blowing really hard.  So even though the sun was actually shining... something I hadn't seen in at least 2 weeks, it meant nothing!  Tonight's a whopping 1 degree or 33.8F.  It's getting cold, and it's happening fast!  I'm talking weather issues, 'cause I'm sitting here, cold, and just too lazy to get up and get something warm to wear.  Such is life!

This morning I browsed through all my digi's, and again, and then through my stamps, and I simply couldn't decide which one I was in the mood for.  So I did a search for digi's and coloring pages, and still came up empty.  Then I decided I was going to use Butterfly dress Tilda - AGAIN.  She's new, so....

I made masks so I could stamp the fungi, and ended up making the wrong mask.  Made 2 fungi masks instead of a Tilda mask.  Figured out what I was doing, and corrected my mistake.  I'm a bit loopy today.  I blame the holidays... and weather! After stamping, I started coloring her dress, then the fungi, and then somewhere down the line, colored a hole background.  When I was done it was like one of those moments where you fazed out for a moment, and then when your back, you did something and you don't know how/what/when/where!  Does that make sense???!!!

Anyhow!  Here's my card:

The Invited I made over the weekend

Hi Peeps!

Just a quick post.  I made some invited over the weekend for a friend's daughter 18th B'day party.  She loves horses, so the picture had to be one of a horse.  As she is 18, she loves black....  So, when I saw this card of Lorraine, I knew I had too case it :)!  Isn't it gorgeous!

You can see Lorraine's post here.

And here is an invite :

I left the horse white, and only colored some shadows using C03, C01, C00 and W3.

Again.  Thank you Lorraine for the inspiration!

Wendy

Happy Easter!

Hi Peeps!!

Happy Easter to all of you!  I truly hope you have a magnificent weekend... or what's left of it!  I had a lazy weekend so far!  Friday, made some invites for a friend's daughter's 18th b'day.  Saturday, quickly went to work and then went clothes shopping!  That was nice... Then got home, and finished the invites.  Today, pure bliss, made some cards, walked around in my slippers the whole day... hmmm....  That's resting!  Tomorrow, Definitely the same as today.

Now I have to tell you.  Most of you are celebrating spring and warmer weather, while we here in SA are starting to freeze.  Temperatures are dropping, rapidly, and it's still dark in the mornings when we have to get up.  I'm not complaining.  I am a winter person.  But getting up early when it's cold.... not so nice!

My Kids also went Easter egg hunting in our garden today!  I grabbed the camera and set off to take some pics, ended up carrying my LO bag around telling him where to look.  Have you ever noticed that even if an object is in front of a child, they rarely see it!?  No pics, but isn't it just great seeing their little faces light up every time they spot an egg.  That small moments make up for all the naughtiness!!

Onto the challenges!

Here is my card.  I know this is a Bride Tilda, but don't you think it works as a Mother's day type of an image.  It's a woman holding roses isn't it!  I bought this stamp from an online friend here in SA, who by accident ordered double some Maggie's.  Got 4 from her.  Always nice to get new stamps.... And Lucky me!

Supplies used :
Magnolia Stamp
Nelly Snellen Punches
Lace - (I get mine from Paola - http://paolaspaperhaven.blogspot.com/)
Eskimo kissed DP from Basic Grey
Flat Back Pearls - Also from Paola
Distress Ink

Copics Used:
E000, E00, E11, R20 (Skin)
E31, E37, E50 (Hair)
G02, G07, G21 (Leaves)
R000, R00, R02, R11, R20, R32 (Dress)
R24, R27, R29, R46 (Roses)

The dress came out to dark.  This is a note to myself.  Next Time, Skip R00!

I'm also not very happy about the image.  Took the photo after the sun had already set, and my light box isn't working as nice as it should!

When I woke up this morning it was raining.  And I am freezing!  Temperates here on on the down,  I think today's like 16 degrees.  Now it's night time, and it's still raining.  Love the rain, just wish it was a bit warmer.

I started making this card, and wanted a ticket stub.  Looked everywhere on the net for one, but couldn't find one.  Either had to buy it, or it just wasn't right.  So I set about making one myself.  I decided to upload this so if you all needed one, and made another blank one.  Please feel free to download.

I hope somebody can use it!

Now onto the challenges.  I made a Spring Mother's day card.  Some products I used:  Sarah Kay stamp, Flat back Pearls, charms,  Nellie Snellen punches, My own ticket stub, Lace (From Paola -   http://paolaspaperhaven.blogspot.com) Distress inks - Vintage Photo, Weathered wood, Old paper,  Copics, Bo Bunny Paper,  Bazzill Cardstock and Martha Steward Edge punch.

Glitter Ribbon Card

Hi All!

I hope you've all had a lovely week.  Here in SA the weekends almost over!  At least there's some long weekends coming up next week, that's definitely something to look forward too!!

I have to tell you all.  You know in the cartoons when they fall forward, the cartoons bounce twice and then come to a landing.  Well,... I fell like that on Friday.  I had on hard shoes (the soles do not flex), walked really fast, kinda stepped into a hole, and went flying!  When I finally did come to landing, I thought I was broken...  Crawled 1m to the fence, hoisted myself up, quickly looked around to see if someone saw me (no one did Thank God!).  And then assessed the damage.  I had "cement burn" on my stomach, and I had lightly sprained my ankle!  As the day progressed, all the muscles in my arms started aching.  I couldn't turn my cars steering wheel it was to painful!  Yesterday, It had felt as if I was hit by a train, so I slept most of the day, and today I feel all better!  My DH just laughed and said falling is my thing!... I do tend to fall a lot....  When something like this happen, what do you do?  Are you angry, do you cry?  I just laugh, 'cause really, what's the point.  You have to be able to laugh at yourself!

Any How!  Here's a card I made this morning :

I am entering into the following challenges :
