Rachel, Little Angel

Hi Peeps!

I simply cannot get enough of Little Rachel!  She is absolutely adorable, and I do have a thing for fairies! You can get Rachel HERE.  I had such fun coloring her.  Do you guys go through fazes?  Let me explain.  I went through my vintage faze, all the cards I made looked vintage, then a girly faze, and it seems that I now combined the 2!  I have 2 boys, and there is no girls in the family.  It seems we are all, hmmm, if I said doomed would that be bad?, to have boys.  So making all this pretty little danty girly cards is just so much fun.  Oooh, and on top of that, Maroon/Dark Redish/Pink is also part of this faze.  I have colored so many pictures lately, and when I looked though my little book, all the stamps were.... Maroon.  This too shall pass I supose.....

Onto my card.  The recipe is as follows:  I used DP from a local Scrap Manufacturer called Fab Scraps.  Their paper is really on par with all the rest out there,  I thoroughly enjoy their latest collections.  I used Flatback Pears, and vintage ribbon that I glimmer misted with blue and green, and also used Tsunikeko's Walnut Ink antiquing Solution on it. Ooh, almost forgot, and a Martha Stewart edge punch.  All edges have been "distressed" with Jumbo Java Chalk ink from Versamagic.  Oval was cut with Nesties and embossed with Cuttlebug folder.

I colored Little Rachel with Copics : E00, E11, E50, E04, E09, RV0000, R20, R81, R85, R89, R39, RV34.

Thank you so much for looking, and please support Elisabeth by getting this stunning little Angel!

Wendy

Your Favourite Technique

Hi Peeps!

Our challenge over at PCJ this fortnightly challenge is : Your Favourite Technique!  Well, hmmm, how do I pick just one.  Card making in general is my favourite technique!  So I decided that a 3d paper project would be perfect.  I love making 3d projects, and I have been dying to make a shoe.  This was my second attempt though!  The first one didn't come out exactly like I had imagined, so I had a redo.  This was fun, and surprisingly it didn't take that long to make.  It took about an hour and 15 minutes, top to finish, whilst I was busy keeping the children out of daddy's hair 'cause he was watching rugby!

Here is my "project"

So come on.  Head on over to our challenge and show us your favourite technique!

Thank You for looking!

Elisabeth Bell's World

Hi Peeps!

We have a new challenge over at Elisabeth Bell's World.  The challenge for this month : Create an Easle card with any EB image!  Now Easle cards I have to say, is one of my favourite folds.  It took me a long time before I made my first one.  They look so intimidating to make, but really, it's child's play.  I used the lovely Princess Tutu. I really do think she's absolutely gorgeous!!  And coloring her is absolutely fabulous.

Here is my card:

Some of the products used:

Bo Bunny paper, Bazzill CS, Black lace, glittery black brads, Rub ons from Kaiser Crafts, Nelly Snellen punches (if you are in SA, you can get them from my good friend Paola), and a digital sentiment that when translated either means happy b'day OR congratulations.

Here is a close up of that gorgeous image, which you can get HERE

I used these Copics to color her:

E000, E00, E11, R20 Skin
E25, E31, E50 Hair
E31, E51, E50 Horse
RV0000, RV10, R81, R85 Dress
E37, E35, E33 Boots

And as always, the photo isn't showing how nice and shimmery her tutu is!  I used the Spica Clear pen for that.

Thank you for looking!

Wendy

Baby Fairy Flora

Hi Peeps!

I hope you all had a great weekend!  My weekend was fabulous.  Just sorry that it's over now!

I loved this image the moment I saw it.  And seeing as I'm still in a "girly card" faze, I couldn't resist!  I have been meaning to create a round scallopy card for like forever.  I cut the card base and front with my Cricut.  This has to be said.  Have you ever noticed that your Cricut doesn't do exact round circles???  Why is that!  I used Sure cuts a lot V2 to cut this, with a dingbat font that has a whole lot of different shapes and frames.  It's an old time favourite of mine.  It's called 09 KutUps, and I've had it since the beginning of time!  Thank you to the person who put this together, and please accept my deepest apologies for not remembering where I got this.

The card measures approximately 14cm (5 3/4").  After completing the front part of this easle card, I started on the inside.  When I started to assemble the finished project, I ran into a huge glitch!  This being my first round scallopy card, cut with the Cricut - who somehow never cut the shapes EXACTLY  the same, my base and top didn't match up perfectly.  So if you look closely, you can see that.  But in my opinion it still came out ok I think.

So without further ado, here is my card:

And a close up of the image:

Copic colors used:

Beautiful Princess Tutu!

Hi Peeps!

Meet Princess Tutu.  Isn't she just lovely!  I wanted to create a really girly card.   That seems to be my thing lately, really girly cards!

Some of the products I used :  Bo Bunny paper (I think this was part of their Valentine's collection), string pearls, flat back pearls, feathers, charms and staples!  Getting that stringed pearls to stay in place was a challenge!

I colored this little sweetie with Copics:

E000, E00, E11, R20 Skin
E18, E25, E31, E50 Hair
E35, E33, E31, E51 Horse
RV0000, RV10, R81, R85 Dress
E37, E35, E33 Boots

I used a Spica clear pen on her Tutu.... a few times, to get it really shimmery.  Of course the photo isn't showing that!

I hope you have a great weekend, or what's left of it!

Hugs,
Wendy

Little Rapunzel

Hiya Peeps!

This will be my first post as a guest Designer over at Digi Bells!  I made this card, but have to admit the following:

Coloring the image was great!  Working with the DP I picked - awfull!  Making cards and picking embellishments to go with them comes easy to me.  But this one.... It was work, and I got so frustrated!  Don't you just hate it when that happens!  But it's over now....

I made this mother's day card with Little Rapunzel.  You can buy her here!  Isn't she just gorgeous!  I love coloring hair, and Rapunzel's hair was really fun to color.  Go on!  If you haven't got her, it's time to get her!!

Here is my card:

Does the frustration show??  Products used:  W&M paper, EB Image, Lace, Flatback Pearls, Stickles, Chalk Ink for edges and flowers from my stash!

Here's a close up of the image:

Hi Peeps!

Hope you have all had a lovely weekend so far!  Mine has been fabulous!  And tomorrow, Monday, is another public holiday!  Whoo-Hoo!!  Who doesn't love public holidays?  AND I also made guest designer over at the Digi Bells website.  It's a 3 month thing!  I'm super excited!

I found this FREE super cute image over at www.fairyinspired.blogspot.com.  Isn't this just the cutest picture ever!  I really enjoyed coloring this image!  The paper I used is from W&M, - it's actually left overs, Lace from my stach, Pearly strings my friend Paola send me (paolaspaperhaven.blogspot.com), I used Nelly Snellen punches to make the flowers, the little "prima like roses", are from a local shop that sells just about everything.  The butterfly I bought ages ago whilst I still lived in Phalaborwa.  There was the cutest "bus shop"  The shop itself is in a very old red double decker bus.  The lady there had the bus in her front yard, and sells all sorts of crafty stuff.

And here is my card:
