Elisabeth Bell World Challenge

Hiya Peeps!

I am a day late posting my challenge card, but I really do have a good reason!  My son and I went on a little mini vacation.  And when I say mini, I really mean a mini!  Friday afternoon we jumped in the car, went to a Casino/Mall/Entertainment center.  Booked into a Hotel for the night, and had an exhausting day of fun!  We did a little bit of clothes shopping for him, then played Ten Pin Bowling, went over to the Mini Golf course....played a little bit of that, then my son hit his ball there where no one can ever find it again, gave up on that idea.  Then he dragged me off to the games room where he was bouncing up and down wanting to do everything at the same time.  By this time, around 6:30pm, he was sooo tired, and I sooo hungry.  We went to a restaurant and had supper.  And whilst sitting there, he kept on complaining that this was taking to long, and that he wanted to go back to the games room.  When we were finally done with supper, it was 8:30pm.  He was sooo tired he started getting nausea's!  Well that was fun.  People glared at me for dragging my little kid over the mall, him being clearly tired.  I had to put my foot down and take him to bed!  Saturday morning got up, caught a movie (Puss in Boots) and then jumped back into the car and drove back home.  This one day excursion was all about him.  I had wanted to spend some quality time with him.  Sometimes with work and my obsession with crafting I feel my kiddies do not get the quality time they deserve.  Working on that!

It's that time of the month again!  A brand new challenge over at Elisabeth Bell World Challenge Blog!  This month our challenge is Stitches and Swirls.  Remember, you have to use an Elisabeth Bell image - any one of her images to be eligible for the prize.

Sweet Tooth

Hiya Peeps!

It's finally Friday!  For the past two weeks I wake up every Thursday morning thinking it's Friday, only to realize it's not!  Then I go through my whole Thursday thinking it should be Friday....it feels like a Friday!  Hopefully next Thursday will be better.

For my card I used Sweet Tooth.  This is such an adorable image.  I know from experience that I can never pass one of these gumball machine's without both of my children ramming back and begging for some gumballs!  

The sentiment on the card means Congratulations....just for in case your wondering....

Paper Crafting Journey Challenge!

So I had a serious blond moment when I made this card.  When I was finished my DH came to tell me something, stood by my table looked at the card....frowned and said... "Happy Birthday? But it's a mother holding a baby?".  Oops!  I will have to change that sentiment!

Please know that all these challenges were picked before my card was made!  Picking a card design covered my Fancy Fold.  I decided the distressing with my super cool new Zutter was the next step.  Now, I have always felt like stitching and edge distressing goes hand in hand!  To make it shimmery and shiny I wanted to add stickles, only to realize that my DP was super glittery!  I always always always add flowers to my cards, so I added a few more to make sure it covered the Flower challenges.  Lace is also something I add a lot.  Oh few steps back.  I stared at my card for a long time to thing where I was going to add my punch, only to think making a frame type card would look super cool!  Pearls are almost always used on my cards, as for the brads, well!  I don't think I have ever combined both brads and pearls and was momentarily tickled as to what to do now!  But this I figured out at the start - Should I make an Easle card, there would be plenty of space at the top and bottom for the 2 not to clash....too much!  And then that leaves the Anything Goes Challenges, where hmmm....well, anything goes!
