Elisabeth Bell's Worlds Monthly Challenge

Hiya Peeps!

Have you all been well??  I am recovering from a minor (is there really such thing??) cold.  Feeling much better today!

We are having a brand new challenge over at Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge!  Our theme for this month long challenge is : Red, White and Blue!  Remember, you have to use an Elisabeth Bell image....anyone will do!

Here is my card:

As always I used Copics to color my image.  I used the following colors:

Jeans and Bandana : B99, B97, B95, B93, B91

Shirt : R29, R27, R24, R22

Book : R24, R22, R21

Tree Stump : E77, E57, E37, E33

Grass : YG17, YG13

Quick Card Recipe :  I used Bo Bunny Paper.  It's a line from early last year (if I remember correct!), Cheese Cloth, Martha Stewart punch, Stickles, Perfect Pearls, Lace, Wild Orchid Crafts Flowers and Photo corner and some leaves from my stash.  I very slightly white washed the papers as it was really bright and boyish!

Elisabeth Bell's Duckie

Hiya Peeps!

Today is my turn to do the pose over at the Digi Bells's.  For those of you who haven't done the blog hop yet, don't despair!  You have until the 3rd of March 9AM Arizona time to complete the Hop!  Seriously, have you seen the new Digi!  It really is to die for!

For my card this week I decided that I will use Duckie!  I used Duckie once before...when Lizzybee released the Digi in the Blog Hop.  I don't know why I haven't used it again, but making this card was super fun.  I got a new toy for my birthday - a Zutter Distress it all - and need excuses to use it. But using them on all my cards simply will not do!  So naturally, when making a boy/man card....a little distressing to make it look a bit rugged is in order??

Here is my card:

As always, Digi was colored with Copics.  Some brass brads and used the Tim Holtz Gadget Gears with Paint Daubbers.   All the edges were distressed with Zutter...fun!...and made a double bow to complete the card.

Elisabeth Bell World Challenge

Hiya Peeps!

I am a day late posting my challenge card, but I really do have a good reason!  My son and I went on a little mini vacation.  And when I say mini, I really mean a mini!  Friday afternoon we jumped in the car, went to a Casino/Mall/Entertainment center.  Booked into a Hotel for the night, and had an exhausting day of fun!  We did a little bit of clothes shopping for him, then played Ten Pin Bowling, went over to the Mini Golf course....played a little bit of that, then my son hit his ball there where no one can ever find it again, gave up on that idea.  Then he dragged me off to the games room where he was bouncing up and down wanting to do everything at the same time.  By this time, around 6:30pm, he was sooo tired, and I sooo hungry.  We went to a restaurant and had supper.  And whilst sitting there, he kept on complaining that this was taking to long, and that he wanted to go back to the games room.  When we were finally done with supper, it was 8:30pm.  He was sooo tired he started getting nausea's!  Well that was fun.  People glared at me for dragging my little kid over the mall, him being clearly tired.  I had to put my foot down and take him to bed!  Saturday morning got up, caught a movie (Puss in Boots) and then jumped back into the car and drove back home.  This one day excursion was all about him.  I had wanted to spend some quality time with him.  Sometimes with work and my obsession with crafting I feel my kiddies do not get the quality time they deserve.  Working on that!

It's that time of the month again!  A brand new challenge over at Elisabeth Bell World Challenge Blog!  This month our challenge is Stitches and Swirls.  Remember, you have to use an Elisabeth Bell image - any one of her images to be eligible for the prize.

Elisabeth Bell Monthly Challenge!

Some Coloring Fun!

Hiya Peeps!

Today, for the first time EVER!  I really took my time and colored this fun image.  It took me 3.5 hours, and I am quite happy with the result. 

I did this for The Paper Shelter DT Call.  I have already entered a card, but really wanted to showcase a image and not a card.  I picked this little girl, which has a lot of hair and plenty of detail!  I love coloring hair but have to admit that this was the first time I got curly locky type of hair to show so much depth and movement!

I also used the colorless blender throughout the image

Challenge Card!

Hiya Peeps!

I have had such a wonderful crafting time lately!  As winter is slowly going away.... I can start crafting at night again as I am not freezing at my table!  Also,  I am seriously avoiding the TV.  I am really trying to lose weight, and for some reason, when I watch television, I ALWAYS have a picnic!  Fun, but not when I get on that oh so dreaded scale!!!
