And yet another Sundays with Crissy DT tryout card!

Hiya Peeps,

My Parents in law have lost a dear cousin of theirs this past week.  They will be attending his funeral this week and have requested that I make them a "Deepest Sympathy" card.  I have used Gracie before in making a Sympathy card.  When I look at this little girl, innocence radiates out of her, carrying over the sympathy as sincere and honest as one could be.  My thoughts are with his family who has truly lost a lovely, honest and sincere husband, father and friend.

Here is my card:

This will most likely be the last card for Crissy's DT tryout!  I have created 4 cards for the tryout, and although NOT nearly as many as some of the other girls, I do hope I will be considered!  Thank you for the chance to try out Crissy!

I am also entering this card into :                  Sunday's with Crissy - Distress challenge (I have added a close up of the cards edges, which has all been disstressed with a distressing tool)

Thank you for looking,

Hugs,
Wendy

Another entry into Crissy's DT call!

Hiya Peeps!

Here is another card I made for Sundays with Crissy's DT call.  I see I am far behind some of the other girls as far as entries go....

Anyhow,  I have bought this little sweetie just this morning.  I am trying to go through my used stash, so the paper I used is all from used before papers...  The DP is Bo Bunny's Gabriella Collection.  Flowers made from Nelly Snellen punches.  Magnolia old bench stamp, and one of the sweetest litlle girl's ever : Sweet Sarah Digi from Crissy's collection.  I colored her using copics, and a spellbinder die.  Butterfly was cut out of the Bo Bunny paper.  Some stiching, and voila, a card is born!

Thank you for looking!

Hugs,
Wendy

Sundays with Crissy DT Call

Hiya Peeps!!

I am super excited!!  Crissy is having a DT call!!!  I love Crissy's images.  I have made this card for the DT call. I spent a lot off time on it, I truly hope it shows!  Here is my card:

Let's quickly run through the products I used!

Bazzill CS,  Bo Bunny Design paper - Gabriella Collection ( Love this paper!), I used a vintage key charm that I got from my friend Donnalee, Nelly Snellen punches for the flowers, Diamond stickles for a little bling, Wedding collection foam corners, Lace and flat back pearls I got from my friend Paola, and little mini roses.  I colored Gracie with Copics (Hope I remember the correct colors!): R00, R32, R17, R11 (dress), R39, R37, R35 (Roses), E25, E31, E50 (hair), E00, E21, R20 (skin)

I have used Little Gracie!  She is one of my old time favourite images.  Here is another card I made with her...ages ago!

The sentiment on the card says "Deepest Sympathies".  If you look at little Gracie's face, the innocence shines from her.  That's why I thought she would be perfect for this card.

Thank You so much for looking!

Hugs,
Wendy

Elisabeth Bell's World

Hiya Peeps,

Well it's my turn to do a post again!  I hope you all enjoyed the Blog Hop!  It sure was fun to play with Kurly Locks Kiki!  It was so much fun, I used her again!  Here is my card:

I've seen tutorials on how to make the most prettiest lollipop flowers you've ever seen with silk.  Here, in the very small town I live, I could only get really cheap satin.  I tried making one.... the poor flower, it looks hmmm, I think the right word is awful!  I will give it another go this weekend.  So instead of using satin, I made flower lollipop with normal CS.  For these, I used my scalloped circle nesties.  I distressed the edges with a distressing tool and inked the edges.  I like the way they came out.  It something different than my normal flowers I make.  But those satin flowers I do need to get under the knee.  They are so pretty!

Be sure to check back on Friday.  Elisabeth is releasing a new digi....or 2!

Thank you all for looking!

Hugs,
Wendy
